## International faxing

- Off by default; the account owner turns it on in the app under Fax, then International.
- Only the US and Canada are domestic. Jamaica, the rest of the Caribbean and the US territories are international.
- Every international page is paid from prepaid credit at that country's per-page price. Subscription plans need the International add-on ($4.99 a month); Pay as you go does not.
- Default cap: $25 a day per account. Landlines only (no mobile or special-service numbers). Failed international faxes are not charged.
- Prices by country: https://jamfax.com/pricing/#international
- Guides: https://jamfax.com/international-fax/ (how it works, all countries) and https://jamfax.com/fax-to-jamaica/ (Jamaica from $0.60 a page; country code 1, area code 876 or 658)

## How it works

- Sign up at https://app.jamfax.com/signup, pick a plan, choose a new fax number by US area code, and pay the first month by card. The line is usually working within minutes.
- Keep an existing number: choose "Transfer an existing fax number" when ordering. No transfer fee; the line is set up when the number arrives from the current provider.
- Send from the browser: upload one or more PDF or TIFF files, optionally with a cover page (PDF only, counts as page 1). A delivery report can be downloaded for every sent fax.
- Send by email (e-Fax and Corporate): turn on email sending for the line, then email the document to <destination digits>@fax.jamfax.com (for example 13055550142@fax.jamfax.com) from the account's sign-in address. Up to 5 PDF or TIFF attachments of 10 MB each, up to 30 faxes by email an hour. The email text is not faxed and there is no cover page. JamFax replies with the result. Details: https://jamfax.com/fax-from-email/
- Receive: every fax appears in the online inbox as a PDF and can be emailed to any number of addresses.
- Fax contacts: save numbers you fax often and pick them when sending.
- Contacts from Google: connect a Google account to bring in the fax numbers saved in Google Contacts (read-only; only fax-type numbers are kept).
- Cover pages: add a cover page when sending; save your own cover templates or copy one of six samples (standard, confidential, medical/confidential, legal, urgent, invoice).
- Fax from Gmail: https://jamfax.com/how-to-fax-from-gmail/
- Fax from Outlook: email the document to the fax address (guide: https://jamfax.com/how-to-fax-from-outlook/), or use the add-in for Outlook on Windows, Mac and the web, which puts "Send as fax" on any email, to fax its PDF or TIFF attachments. Install from https://app.jamfax.com/addins/outlook/manifest.jamfax.xml. Guide: https://jamfax.com/help/#outlook
- Print to fax: add JamFax as a printer once (Windows 10/11 and macOS, no driver to download), then print from any program; the document appears in JamFax ready to fax. Guide: https://jamfax.com/help/#print
- Use it like an app: install app.jamfax.com on a phone (Add to Home Screen) or computer (browser install icon). There is no app-store app. Guide: https://jamfax.com/help/#mobile
- Developer API: create an API key in the app under Fax, API keys, then send faxes, read their status, download documents and manage fax contacts over a REST API; webhooks fax.received, fax.delivered and fax.failed are signed. Guide: https://jamfax.com/developers/. OpenAPI file: https://app.jamfax.com/api/v1/docs/partner/openapi.yaml
- Coverage: the US and Canada as standard. International faxing (including Jamaica and the rest of the Caribbean) is off by default, paid from prepaid credit at a per-country price; see "International faxing" below.
